NIIFL to Invest Rs 4000 Crore in Hyderabad Metro Rail

Hyderabad, Aug.25 (Hydnow): Good News for Hyderabad Metro Rail in the city which is facing losses. National Investment and Infrastructure Fund limited (NIIFL) has come forward to invest in the HMR, according to information.

The Company reportedly offered to invest about Rs 4000 cr in the HMR to boost its functioning and tide over the financial crisis.

The HMR is incurring losses up to Rs 5 cr every day according to reports. So the HMR officials have been trying to get soft loans from the banks for quite some time.

Amid corona pandemic the HMR suffered a huge loss and sought some soft loans from the banks.

So the NIIFL offered to invest huge funds in the Hyderabad Metro Rail projects to tide over the financial crisis, it is learnt. (Hydnow)
