Around 43 employees who are working on a contract basis in National Institute of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME) have alleged that their services were terminated even before completion of their contract agreement and without any prior notice.

These employees, who were working as administrators, in the website maintenance wing and other technical posts in NI-MSME, an organisation under the Ministry of MSME, say they got a call from their higher-ups on Sunday evening and were informed about the termination of their contracts.

When the employees tried to know the reason, the higher-ups allegedly did not respond. “The higher-ups are forcing the employees to sign on the no dues declaration form to get their pending salaries,” said an employee Sharat Babu.
