Uttar Pradesh: In a tragic turn of events, a newly-married couple was discovered deceased in their room on the morning after their wedding night.
The post-mortem report, received by the authorities, has indicated that the couple, identified as Pratap Yadav (24) and Pushpa Yadav (22), died as a result of cardiac arrest.
The wedding ceremony took place on May 30 in Bahraich of Uttar Pradesh, with the couple retiring to their room for the night. However, their lifeless bodies were found the following day, leaving the community in shock and sorrow. The incident unfolded in the village, where the couple was cremated together on the same pyre.
Superintendent of Police (SP), Prashant Kumar, shared that the post-mortem examination report, received on Saturday evening, confirmed the cause of death as cardiac arrest.
Forensic experts, upon examining the couple’s room, discovered a lack of ventilation and the absence of a ceiling fan, which potentially hindered air circulation and contributed to the tragic outcome.
The viscera of both individuals have been preserved for further analysis at the State Forensic Science Laboratory in Lucknow. At present, no complaints have been lodged by the families of the deceased.
