Delhi/Hyderabad, May 7 (Hydnow): The NEET UG examination conducted for admissions to medical courses across the country has started at 2 pm to 5.20 pm in 499 cities/towns across the country.
More than 20 lakh students have applied for this exam which is conducted in 13 languages besides Telugu. Around 40 thousand students from Telugu States (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh) are writing the exam at Hyderabad, Warangal, and Karimnagar in Telangana. The examination centers have been set up in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati, and other cities in Andhra Pradesh.
The students were checked with metal detectors at the examination centers and allowed inside. If any student wears metal rings and nose rings, they are removed and allowed inside. In some centers, the staff does not allow candidates who come a minute late. (Hydnow)
