Tirupati, Nov.25: TDP National president Nara Chandrababu Naidu today came down heavily on the ruling YSRCP and alleged that the negligence of the ruling party had turned out to be a curse to the flood affected people of the state .
Stating that the natural calamities do not knock on the door he said that there was a need to work in an efficient manner . He said that had the state government worked diligently and efficiently, the loss of life of the people would have been less in the state.
Speaking to media persons at Renigunta , Naidu said that the state government had information in advance that the state would witness a lot of rains this year including rayalaseema region. He alleged that lack of experience and arrogance of the state government had become a curse to the people of Andhra Pradesh .
Naidu said that a situation had arisen where scores of villages were facing threat of being swept away due to the floods . He said that an efficient government would have prevented human and economic loss in the state .
He said that the authorities of the state government had failed to alert the people living around Pincha and Annamaiah projects. Stating that the disaster management department should forcefully evict the people living around the projects , he alleged that the department had failed to discharge its primary responsibilities.
He also alleged that sub standard works were done in the constitution of pincha and Annamayya projects. Naidu said that the people of the affected areas told him that they were not alerted by the authorities about the floods .
He said that the release of water from Pincha , Kalyani dam and Annamaiah projects in advance would have prevented the floods in the area . He said that the state government had completely failed in the release of the water from the irrigation projects.
