Hyderabad, Feb.3 (Hydnow): Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today slammed the Opposition parties for crying foul like dogs on the comments of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao with regard to the constitution.
Speaking to mediapersons, TRS LP office here with other leaders, the minister ridiculed the BJP and Congress leaders for talking about protests. He accused the Opposition leaders of barking like dogs on the comments of the Chief Minister on the need for a change in the constitution as the present government at the Centre failed to use it to address key problems and disputes.
The minister took serious exception to the BJP and the Congress leaders for creating panic on the issue. He said the BJP was indulging in the same old policy to rake up communal issues and gain politically, he fumed. He advised the BJP and the Congress leaders to mount pressure on the Centre to get funds to the State.
He also charged Union minister G Kishan Reddy with failing to get funds for Secunderabad development or for Telangana State. “He has no right to make charges against the Chief Minister, who was toiling for allround development and welfare of the people”, Srinivas Yadav claimed.
The minister said the Constitution was amended more than 100 times so far. Then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee too vouched for changing the constitution and set up a commission, he said adding that there is no wrong in what KCR has said about changes in the constitution, he claimed.
The constitution written by Dr Ambedkar has recommended changes and amendments as and when necessary, the ministers said. Then why the BJP and the Congress leaders are vying for protests and spreading falsehood, the minister questioned. (Hydnow)
