Hyderabad, Aug 10 (Hydnow): Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, IT and Industry, K.Tarak Rama Rao held a review meeting on the Metro Rail Master Plan.
the Chief Secretary to the Government along with several heads of Departments attended this high-level meeting held at the Hyderabad Metro Rail Bhavan on Thursday.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, KTR said, “Metro should be expanded massively for the future of Hyderabad. Metro expansion works should be undertaken to reduce congestion and pollution in the city. To become a global city, the public transport system needs to be strengthened. According to the government’s decision to expand the Metro, the authorities have been instructed to take up the programs quickly. The Airport Metro Expressway should be discussed separately. Minister KTR ordered that the GMR officials should hand over the required 48 acres of land for the metro depot. (Hydnow)
