MANUU Media Centre To Live Stream ‘Meet Media Veterans Virtual Series’

Hyderabad, May 15 (Hydnow): Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) Instructional Media Centre planned virtual talk series with media veterans from world of cinema, television, radio, print and electronic media, theatre and writing during the Covid 19 lockdown situation.

The series will be seen live on IMCMANUU facebook page from May 18 onwards at 11:30 am.

According to Rizwan Ahmad, Director, IMC, this is an opportunity for media students and the general audience to enrich themselves with knowledge and have chance to interact live with eminent media personalities. This virtual series is a unique initiative of any central university in the media domain and will benefit lots of media career aspirants, he informed.

This series will showcase the stellar line up of the Media industry veterans such as Milt Shefter, a Media-asset archivist and preservationist from USA, Shaji N Karun, a Trivandrum based Padma shree and national award winning Cinematographer, Filmmaker; Marianne Borgo, Theatre and Film Actress from Paris who has worked in over 35 feature films and plays, Saibal Chatterji, a National Award winning film critic, author, script writer from New Delhi, Rajeshwari Sachdev, National Award Winning actress who has acted in over 38 films in Tamil, Hindi, Marathi, English; Shankar Mohan, Bureaucrat, Film Programmer; Vikramjit Roy, “ Head, Film Facilitation Office, I&B Ministry; Manju Bora, a Guwahati based International and national award-winning film director and short story writer; Dr. Bhuvan Lal, a New Delhi based "Filmmaker Entrepreneur, Motivational Speaker & Author” Ajit Rai, Film, Theatre Critic and Cultural Journalist; Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, National award winning Filmmaker, Archivist, and restorer and Lane Shefter Bishop, a multi award winning American writer and director.

In the series, media veterans besides sharing their journey to the world of media will also share the issues and challenges they faced during their career and will provide important tips to the young aspirants.
