Lucknow/Hyderabad, Nov 15 (Hydnow): In a distressing turn of events, the brothers of a woman, who suffered a horrific acid attack that took her life a decade ago, have enacted a violent reprisal. The accused, Umesh Chauhan from the Pipri area in Gorakhpur district, Uttar Pradesh, had allegedly thrown acid on the young woman, leading to her tragic demise. The incident, which also left the woman’s brother injured, occurred ten years ago.

Driven by a thirst for justice for their sister, the heartbroken brothers meticulously planned and carried out their revenge against Umesh Chauhan on the night of Diwali. The accused was ruthlessly hacked to death with an axe. Subsequently, the lifeless body was transported on a motorcycle and callously cast into a nearby canal.

The events took a legal turn when Umesh’s absence triggered concern. Worried family members filed a police complaint, prompting an investigation. In a shocking turn of events, during the inquiry, the police apprehended the two brothers of the deceased woman, who had lost her life in the acid attack. Under interrogation, the siblings confessed to the gruesome act of vengeance, leading to their subsequent arrest. Currently, search operations, involving SDRF teams, are underway to retrieve the dumped body from the canal.
