Hyderabad, Oct.2 (Hydnow): TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy today called upon the people of the State to draw inspiration from the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and stop the destructive forces of the country from executing their conspiracies to divide the country.
Addressing a gathering at Gandhi Ideology Center in Bowenepally here on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi, Revanth Reddy paid floral tributes at the Mahatma Gandhi statue occasion. Later, he also unfurled the party’s flag. Speaking on the occasion, he termed the BJP as a poison and added that it was trying to sting the entire country through communal agenda.
He mocked that PM Narendra Modi and CM KCR as students of the Britishers and added that the two were trying to the rule the country and the State by adopting divide and rule policy. He said the two leaders were securing their time by inciting hatred in the country and the State. He said all the Gandhian philosophy believers should come forward and give a befitting reply to the politics of hatred of Modi and KCR.
Reddy said their party leader Rahul Gandhi had embarked upon his Bharat Jodo Yatra in order to counter the divide and rule policies of Modi and KCR. He said the Telangana unit of the party would extend its complete support to the padayatra of Rahul Gandhi. He said the Yatra would enter the State on October 24. He called upon the people of the State to take part in the Yatra by drawing inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi.
He also said Gandhi had become a role model for the entire world and added he carried out his fight against the British in a peaceful manner. He said Gandhi had brought the freedom to the country by giving ‘Do or Die’ call through his Quit India movement. He said first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had brought green revolution into the country by taking inspiration from Gandhi and added that Nehru provided irrigation facilities to all the farmers of the country as part of his green revolution plans.
