Hyderabad, Sept.18 (Hydnow): IT, Industries and Municipal Minister K T Rama Rao today appreciated Christian community for offering the best services in sectors like education and health and during calamities.
Along with minister K Eshwar and. State Planning Commission deputy chairman B Vinod Kumar, KTR has interacted with a group of Bishops and leaders of the Christian community in the city here.
The TRS government extend all support for well-being of the Christian community in Telangana, he asserted. On the occasion, the minister claimed that they are following all norms of communal harmony and respect all religions equally. With a focus on welfare the government implementing several development programs KTR said.
Development is of no use without providing basic amenities and infrastructure, he said. We are lagging behind China and need to overcome the related issues.
He said that the government set up 940 gurukul institutions in the state for SC, ST, BC and others for minorities. More than 5 lakh student are studying in them as the government spends Rs 1.20 lakh on each, KTR added.
The villages and towns are being developed in Telangana now the minister stressed need for development with basic amenities and innovative ideas to surpass others. Telangana growth rate was doubled in six years did to apt policies of the government he said.
Our government is making continuous efforts for all round development he remarked. Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao strongly believes in Hindu dharma and its practices.
KCR also respects all other religions equally with aplomb, he stated. We are ready to protect the interests of Christian community and all others to enjoy the rights offered by the Constitution, he added. The new state is witnessing rapid growth in all sectors, KTR added. (Hydnow)
