Hyderabad, Aug.25 (Hydnow): Finance Minister T Harish Rao today said that Villages in Telangana have turned out to be Konaseema area followed by copious rains and construction of Kaleshwaram project.
Along with Animal Husbandry Minister, T Srinivas Yadav, Harish Rao has dropped fish seeds in Konda Pochamma Sagar project area to benefit local fishermen.
On the occasion, Harish Rao said that 7.5 tmc waters to be filled in KP sagar project. In addition to dropping 14 lakhs of fish in the lakes and water bodies we will take steps to drop shrimp in the area in future he said.

The local people are lucky to get KP Sagar and free fish dropping program, Harish Rao said. Telangana is only state in the country to drop free fish in lakes, check dams and reservoirs, he claimed. The fish scheme by the government will benefit local fishermen in a big way, he hoped. The minister said that the state government is for the welfare of communities. (Hydnow)
