Hyderabad, Aug.14 (Hydnow): Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Wednesday accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao of turning the State into debt-ridden. He also alleged that the Chief Minister had looted Rs 42,000 crore of public money in the name of Kaleswaram lift irrigation project in the State by issuing GO Nos 299, 300, 301. He alleged that all the funds of the State Government were going towards the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project. He also alleged that the CM was building a new secretariat to make his son KTR as the next CM of the State.
Speaking after meeting the Principal Secretary of Finance department Ramakrishna Rao at the Secretariat, he said the authorities of the Union government were also stating that the financial position of the State government was not good. He urged the Principal Secretary to release the pending bills of Pillaipally, Dharmareddy and Bunsdigani canal works.
He also alleged that the contractors of the said works had stopped the works as their bills were kept pending by the State government. He brought to the notice of the State government to release Rs 50 crore for land acquisition and Rs 45 crore to the contractors. Noting that the State Government owed another Rs 100 crore towards the incentives to the dairy farmers, he warned the State government that they would lay a siege to the State secretariat. (Hydnow)
