Hyderabad, June 14 (Maxim News): All India Kisan Congress cell today slammed the state government on its controversial decision to auction all its lands. The National vice President of the cell M. Kodanda Reddy alleged that the state government had a secret agenda behind the sale of the lands.
He said that they had written a letter to the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and urged him to stop the auction of the lands. He said that the Congress party had stopped the auction of the government lands in the past . He claimed that the rulers of Andhra Pradesh state had provocated the CM of state to sell the government lands.
He said that the Congress party had distributed forest lands to the poor people of the state. He said that any government should use the lands acquired from the farmers of the state for the specified use and added that all such acquired lands should be returned to the farmers concerned after five years if they were left unused. Reddy said that the state did not have suitable lands for the auction.
He alleged that the ruling TRS party leaders had bought the lands for less rates at the auction of the state government. He reminded that they had stopped their party leaders from taking part in the land auction during their rule. He said that the state government did not have powers to auction its lands and demanded it to withdraw its controversial decision immediately. (Maxim News)
