Khammam/Hyderabad, June 10 (Maxim News): A huge fire broke out in the Khammam Cotton market, about 2,200 cotton sacks were completely burnt in the fire.
Three fire engines reached the spot from Nelakondapally and worked hard to bring the fire under control, due to the late arrival of the fire engines, the damage was already done. Fire crews had to work hard to put out the fire. The traders kept the cotton bought from the farmers in the Khammam market. The trader has prepared everything to export these cotton bags to Gujarat.
There are many doubts about the fire, did it happen by accident? or created a risk for insurance? The investigation is also being done in the following aspects. The trader says that the property has been damaged, so the fire engine which was supposed to be in Khammam market went to Nelakondapalli as per the orders of the authorities. Due to the delay in Khammam’s arrival there, a lot of property was damaged, and three fire engines came, after all, were burnt.
Police have started an investigation into the accident. 10 eyewitnesses have been detained and are being interrogated. Traders say that due to the lack of a fire engine on time, the level of danger was high, on the other hand, there is no security at the market.
The actual causes of the past accidents are still unknown. There is a large scale of allegations that a gang of ganja users roams around the market and commits such incidents. There are also criticisms that the market ruling class is showing negligence at every step. (Hydnow)
