Hyderabad, Aug. 28 (Hydnow): Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao today said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is developing both Old City and new City with the same priority. He inaugurated 288 units of 2BHK houses at Pilligudisela Basthi at Malakpet area near Chanchalguda Jail here. The government spent Rs 24.91 cr to construct these houses with modern facilities. We are not going back on providing better amenities and infrastructure like roads, flyovers, he said.
Home Minister Mahamood Ali, AIMIM Chief & MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Mayor G Vijyalakshmi, and others attended the house warming program on the behalf of the government. The government offers top priority to provide permanent shelter to the poor free of cost, he claimed.
Pilligudisela Basthi area which faced water, drainage and basic amenities has now got all the facilities. MLA Balala repeatedly urged the Chief Minister for two bedroom houses, expansion of roads, drinking water, drainage facility and more amenities. We are providing them in a phased manner and addressing related issues.
All the beneficiaries at Pilligudisela Basthi now got 288 housing units with modern facilities, related documents and keys, he said. The minister asked the beneficiaries to maintain the houses neatly and protect the green environment. Each house was built with quality and costs from Rs 50 lakhs to Rs 60 lakhs each and 19 shops were constructed for business and shops on the premises.
The Minister said that local MP, MLA appealed for shifting of Chanchalguda jail to another location and ensuring that an IT company or educational institution and development programs are conducted here. We will take this appeal to the notice of the chief minister to take a decision and the government will go back on such things, he said. (Hydnow)
