KCR greets Tamilisai on her birthday

Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan compared Statehood movement with struggle for Indian independence, stating that after the fight for independence, the Telangana Statehood movement will remain as the longest struggle.

The Governor made this observation when Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao called on her at Raj Bhavan to convey birthday greetings to her. The Chief Minister presented a bouquet to the Governor and wished her a healthy and long life.

The Governor, conveying her greetings to the Chief Minister on the occasion of State Formation day, said she was happy that her birthday and the State Formation day conicided. “It is destiny that I became Governor of Telangana State which was formed on June 2, the day I was born,” she added.

Chandrashekhar Rao said several people had sacrificed their lives for Statehood cause, and that the national flag is hoisted only after paying tributes to the martyrs.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Rajya Sabha Members Dr K Keshav Rao, K R Suresh Reddy, Chief Advisor Rajiv Sharma, Advisor Anurag Sharma, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP Mahender Reddy, ACB DG Purnachandra Rao, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, MLAs Jeevan Reddy, Nagender, Rythu Bandhu State President Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, MLCs Karne Prabhakar, Srinivas Reddy, Planning Commission Vice Chairman B Vinod Kumar, TSIIC chairman Gadari Bala Mallu, TSCSC chairman Mareddy Srinivas Reddy. They also greeted the Governor.
