Hyderabad, June 10 (Maxim News): Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, G. Kishan Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao’s government is not cooperating with the Central government for the establishment of Warangal Textile Park.
Speaking to the media persons, today, he criticized Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao for not coming forward even though the Center is ready with the MoU. He said that in spite of differences between Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he has taken the initiative to set up a textile park in Telangana. Under the Modi regime, there is plenty of urea available to farmers.
With regard to the farmers benefiting from the Central government schemes, he said Rs. 18,600 per acre is being given by the Center in the form of subsidy and Rs. 6,000 in the form of Kisan Samman Yojana. He said that a farmer with two acres is getting Rs. 43 thousand and a farmer with ten acres is getting Rs. 1.92 lakhs. About 6 percent of the Central budget is being spent on farmers.
With the decisions of the center, rice exports have increased and oil imports have decreased. The support price for the cotton crop has been increased by 75 percent. He said that the Center is spending Rs. 26,356 crores per year for the purchase of grain in Telangana. Kishan Reddy stated that urea is being provided to farmers under the name of the Bharat brand.
