Hyderabad, May 12 (Hydnow): Karnataka elections results will be released on May 13 for which the arrangements have already been made for the smooth conduct of counting for the 224 Assembly seats.
Will BJP come to power for the second consecutive time? or will Congress come to power? or are the survey reports true? Discussions are going on in political circles. Many people are saying that there is a possibility that the JD(S) party will be the kingmaker this time too.
The leaders of JD(S) say that even before the results of the elections, prominent leaders of Congress and BJP are in touch with them. Exit polls predicted that his party would be the kingmaker.
On the other hand, some political analysts say that there is also a chance of a hang in Karnataka this time. If Hung is formed, JD(S) will have a chance to become the kingmaker. The JD(S) leaders are making it clear that their leader Kumaraswamy is in Singapore and they have not yet discussed with which party to form a team. Senior leader Tanveer Ahmed said that they will take the right decision at the right time.
BJP condemns the comments of JD(S) leaders. It says that they have not contacted JD(S) leaders so far. Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje expressed confidence that they will come to power with a clear majority.
Kumaraswamy to Singapore
Former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy went to Singapore on May 11 for a health checkup. According to party sources, he went to Singapore to undergo medical tests as he fell ill during the Karnataka Assembly election campaigns.
Kumaraswamy went to Singapore along with a personal assistant and a few others. Kumaraswamy will reach Karnataka on Saturday (May 13) evening. Elections to the 224-member Karnataka Assembly were held in one phase on Wednesday, May 10. Election results will be released on Saturday, May 13. (Hydnow)
