Kakinada: The infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh, particularly in Kakinada, is in a grim state as the quality of road construction continues to receive harsh criticism. Roads intended for decades of use are deteriorating in just months, leading to serious doubts about the quality of the construction.
Disturbing reports of vehicles abruptly sinking into the road have heightened public fear. Notable road collapses, such as the one from Rajamandry to Lambasingi en route to Araku, reveal the poor standard of roadworks.
Initial assessments suggest these failings stem from subpar construction practices. Despite engineering norms mandating soil assessments for construction methodology suggestions, roads are crumbling prematurely.
This reality indicates a significant misuse of public funds on deteriorating roadworks. More alarmingly, we’re witnessing not just the surge in potholes, but entire road stretches collapsing.
Kakinada residents are in a dire situation, with recent collapses near Korukonda’s Rome City highlighting the construction quality crisis. The road from Rajamandry to Lambasingi, leading to Araku, also suffered structural damage, further exacerbating the issue.
