Hyderabad, Sept.2 (Hydnow): Congress party MLA T. Jagga Reddy heaped praises on the former CM of undivided AP state YS Rajasekhara Reddy on the occasion of his death anniversary. He termed YSR as powerhouse in the sphere of politics. He said that although Rajasekhara Reddy long back, he was still alive in the hearts of the people of the state due to his pet welfare program Aarogyasri scheme.
He said that YSR had ensured the delivery of healthcare services to all the poor people of the state and added that the former CM had also ensured the delivery of quality education to the door steps of its seekers. He alleged that the 108 and 104 emergency services launched by the former Chief Minister had now disappeared from the state.
He made these remarks after paying rich floral tributes to the former CM at his statue located in Panjagutta along with city Congress president M Anjan Kumar Yadav and Others.
Speaking on the occasion, He said that YSR was also responsible for the construction of ORR and Hyderabad metro rail project.
In a separate statement, Jagga Reddy said that the officials of the CM KCR’s office did not give him the appointment he sought with the CM. He said that he had sought the appointment of the CM on Tuesday.
Reddy said that the CMO officials said that they could not given the appointment due to the seven days national mourning following the death of former president of the country Pranab Mukherjee. He made it clear that he would meet the CM at any cost. He warned that he would sat fora dharna infront of the CM’s camp office Pragathi Bhavan along with his daughter Jaya Reddy if he was denied the appointment. (Hydnow)
