Jordan/Hyderabad, July 14 (Hydnow): Doctors in Israel have performed miracles. A 12-year-old boy whose head was nearly severed from the neck due to severe injuries in a car accident was operated on and reattached to this boy named Suleman Hasan.
Hassan, who was riding a bicycle, was hit by a car and sped away. the boy from the Jordan Valley was immediately taken to a hospital in Jerusalem by his parents and locals. the doctors of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital here took this case as a challenge.
They found that his head was severed from his neck and he was also injured in his abdomen. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Ohad Einav said that as soon as he was brought here, we were all surprised to see his condition, the ligaments where the head and neck meet were completely damaged.
He said, that Hasan’s head and spine were reunited after a very complicated surgery, and for this operation, specialist doctors, nurses, and other staff working in all departments of the hospital worked for several hours in the operation theater. At that time, their technical experience also helped a lot.
the trauma staff responded quickly and every decision they made, from initial treatment to this surgery, was helpful to us. the effort involved in reattaching the new cells and nerves in the neck is indescribable. Overall the operation was a success.
Although this operation was done last June, Hassan was discharged from the hospital by the doctors after monitoring his health condition from time to time. The team of doctors said that since this is a very rare operation it will not be revealed until it is successful.
doctors described Hasan’s recovery as a miracle even though the chances of survival in such fatal accidents are very low. The team said that usually, the victims of such accidents develop neurological or brain-related problems.
But Hassan was healthy. Even after such a big operation, this boy is able to walk on his own without anyone’s help. Hasan’s father expressed his gratitude to the doctors and other staff who saved his only son’s life. (Hydnow)
