Hyderabad, Aug.14 (Hydnow): Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar today stated that Dalit Bandhu scheme will be launched across the state on August 16. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will launch the Dalit Bandhu scheme at Huzurabad on August 16 and give Rs 10 lakh each to 15 selected beneficiaries, he said. A state level committee of the officials will monitor the implementation of the scheme, he informed.
Addressing a press conference at the Collector office in Karimnagar along with SC Development wing Secretary Rahul Bojja and Collector Karnan, Somesh Kumar said that the scheme aims to empower the Dalit community.
The Chief Minister will give Rs 10 lakhs to 15 selected beneficiaries on the occasion as part of the launch of Dalit Bandhu he disclosed.
There is no doubt about the scheme and it will be implemented for all the eligible Dalit families in the state he clarified.
Dalits who have been lagging behind for a long time will be now on the growth path as they will be pushed for the known businesses and the trades they can do, he said.
There is no doubt that the scheme will ensure money for the poor SCs and all the eligible will get Rs 10 lakhs each for development. We got the details of the Dalit community in the state and all the families will be covered in the state. Officials and local leaders got the details and four members from each village will coordinate in the process, he said. We got the details of the Dalits in the state through a comprehensive survey of families in the state.
The money of Rs 10 lakhs to be deposited with the collectors concerned and to be given to the Dalit families as planned, he said. (Hydnow)
