Commissioner’s Task Force (south) team raided a house where rice meant for distribution under Public Distribution Scheme was illegally stored. The team seized 100 quintals of rice from the place.
Acting on a tip off, the police raided the house of one Lateef located at Chandrayangutta and found the person had stored the rice bags after buying the commodity from different persons.
Lateef intended to sell it off at a higher price in the market and earn money, claimed the police.

The man along with the property was handed over to the Chandrayangutta police station for further action.
