Hyderabad, Oct 27 (Hydnow): District Election Officer, GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose said that the Election Commission of Idia has provided an opportunity to vote in the upcoming Assembly elections even if the voters do not have a voter ID card and show their identify documents instead.
According to the press release issued on October 26, the District election Officer said that EPIC cards are being distributed free of cost to new voters. he stated that it is not enough to show the voter slips distributed at the polling center to verify their identity before voting, they must show their voter identity identification card or if they do not have one, they must show any of the following alternative photo identity cards at the poling centers to verify their identity.
The details of their identity cards are as follows:
1. Aadhaar card
2. MNREGA Job Card
3. Passbook with photograph issued by post office bank.
4. Health Insurance Smart Card issued by the Ministry of Labour
5. Driving license
6. PAN card7. MNREGA Job Card
8. Smart card issued by RGI
9. Indian Passport
10. Pension sanction document with photograph
11. Central and State Government/PSUs/Public Limited Companies Employment Identity Card with Photograph
12. Identity card issued by MLA, MP, MLC
13. disability identity Card
The Hyderabad district Election Officer GHMC Commissioner has requested to take any identity cards with them and exercise the right to vote. (Hydnow)
