A 65-year-old man from Hyderabad, Telangana named Mohammed Khaja Rayees Uddin, was stabbed to death at Hill Top Mount, in Leeds, United Kingdom, reports said. An Afghanistan national was also killed besides Rayees Uddin after a fight with a Ugandan national.
The Ugandan, a 46-year-old man and another 48-year-old man have been arrested in the case and an investigation is underway to find the reason behind the stabbings, West Yorkshire Police said. The Indian national was reportedly killed when he tried to intervene in a fight between the Afghan and two others.
Rayees Uddin has been in London since 2011 and is survived by his wife, son, and daughter. He was killed just prior to his journey to India as his daughter was scheduled to get married on October 5.
Meanwhile, the family of the victim asked for help from the Government of India to bring his body back to India.
