Hyderabad, Sept 5 (Hydnow): Due to torrential rains in Ranga Reddy and Vikarabad districts along with Hyderabad, twin reservoirs have been flooded. The officials have lifted the gates of Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar as the ponds are already full.
In Himayat Sagar, four gates lift the water and release it down as it comes. The current water level in Himayat Sagar is 1764 feet. Two gates were raised in Osman Sagar reservoir, and due to this, heavy flood water is coming into Musi river.
In this context, the water board officials alerted the people of the Musi catchment area. Residents of the colony near Lower Bridge in Chadarghat were ordered to vacate their houses. Similarly, motorists are advised to be alert at Musaram Bagh bridge. (Hydnow)
