Hyderabad, Dec 21 (Hydnow): The High Court of Telangana has given the green signal for the Singareni Elections. The Bench rejected the petition filed by the government and issued the order to hold the Singzareni elections as usual on December 27.
The High Court has heard the petition on the singareni elections, today, the government has asked the High Court to postpone the Singareni elections. The government has requested that the elections be held in March next year instead of December 27 due to the formation of the new government.
The Deputy Solicitor General told the court that all arrangements for the elections had already been completed. During the previous government’s tenure. This was brought to the attention of the court, who sought adjournment several times: the tribunal decided that it could not be postponed again.
The High Court questioned whether an undertaking had been given in the past that the Singareni elections would be held regardless of the results of the assembly elections. The High Court clarified that the singareni elections should be held on December 27. (Hydnow)
