Hyderabad, July 13 (Hydnow): Telanagana High Court today extended its stay orders till July 15 on the demolition of Secretariat buildings by Telangana Government. The court has expressed displeasure at the government for not submitting the details of the cabinet decision on new Secretariat and removal of the existing buildings.

When the government counsel B S Prasad informed to get the details by evening the court said at least a press note of the cabinet decision was not submitted.

The high court asked the government to submit the details at the earliest. The court postponed the case for next hearing to July 15. The court slammed the government for failing to submit Cabinet decision copy on new Secretariat construction by removing existing buildings in the premises.

Professor P L Vishweshwar Rao, urged the court to prevent environmental pollution by demolition works in the Secretariat which is against norms. On this, the high court instructed the government to stall demolition of the buildings till next Monday July 13. The high court has directed the state government counsel B S Prasad to file a counter with details.

He informed that the court has paved way for new Secretariat complex and the existing buildings are to be removed for it. Earlier, the court heard several petitions against the new Secretariat by removing the existing Secretariat buildings.(Hydnow)
