Hyderabad, July 27 (Hydnow): The Indian Meteorological Department, Hyderabad (IMD-H) has said that heavy rains are like to continue in Telangana for the next three days.
The IMD-H director Nagaratna said that the extremely low pressure that formed in the Bay of Bengal on Wednesday has weakened by Thursday and will continue in the vicinity of South Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh. The period associated with the low pressure is said to continue up to 7.6 km above sea level.
Due to this effect, there is a possibility of light to moderate rains in many parts of Telangana. From Thursday to Friday morning, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagityala, Rajanna Sirisilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts are likely to receive very heavy rains. To this extent, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the respective districts.
Adilabad, Kumrambhim Asifabad, Manchiryala, Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanmakonda, Jangaon, Siddiqui, Bhuvanagiri, Ranga reddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri districts will receive heavy to very heavy rains.
An orange alert has been issued to this extent. heavy rains are likely to occur in Adilabad, Kumrambhim Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Bhuvanagiri, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy districts from Friday to Saturday, the meteorological Department said. (Hydnow)
