Hyderabad, July 31 (Hydnow): A hearing was held in the High Court on the disqualification petition of Minister Srinivas Goud. The hearing continued on the basis of an election affidavit filed on November 19, 2018. The petitioner was directed to submit affidavits and evidence to the Court.
The High Court has issued orders to the plaintiff and the defendant not to share any information with the media regarding the court proceedings. The High Court adjourned the further hearing to next Monday (August 7).
Meanwhile, last week, Minister Srinivas Goud arrived at the Telangana High Court. Srinivas Goud filed a petition seeking to dismiss the petition that his election was invalid. However, the High Court dismissed the petition filed by the Minister.
Mahabubnagar voter Raghavendra Raju has filed a petition in the High Court alleging that Minister Srinivas Goud submitted false supporting documents in his election affidavit.
The petition stated that Srinivas Goud is not eligible to continue as MLA and Minister. Srinivas Goud filed another petition to dismiss the petition as having no merit. Both arguments have already been completed in the High Court. The High Court bench allowed the petition filed by the petitioner. (Hydnow)
