Hyderabad, July 1 (Hydnow): Finance Minister T Harish Rao hit out at Congress leaders for their comments on breach in Konda Pochamma Sagar canal. Though a few projects were washed away in the Congress regime, its leaders are making a hue and cry now, he charged.
Talking to press persons at Gajwel here the minister accused them of making rhetoric on the small breach to KP Sagar canal. The minister slammed the opposition parties for creating havoc on a small breach to the canal. The officials have attended to the issue and fixing the problem. Stating that Kaleshwaram is the world biggest lift project in Telangana, Harish Rao said that the government has been trying to give waters to crops by completing related projects he said.
He ridiculed the Congress for forgetting projects washed away during their rule. When works were taken up there were breaches at 103, 131 km points. Why they forget SRSP project breach he asked. In 2007, Palem vagu in Khammam washed away and Ellampally project faced same problem before completion of the works he said.
Harish Rao further said that Sardar Darovar project in Gujarat suffered breaches 200 times. Also Manoharabad railway in Gujarat was washed away in rain waters he said. Can the BJP leaders accept if we attribute it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi failure, Harish Rao asked. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao gets credit to bring Godavari waters through this Works will be completed in two days and waters will be released. Congress regime gave difficulties to the farmers by denying them waters and power supply.
Harish Rao asked the Congress and the BJP leaders to give suggestions by stopping mud slinging. (Hydnow)
