Hyderabad, Oct.16 (Hydnow): Finance Minister T Harish Rao today slammed the BJP leaders spreading falsehood on the accident and price hike in gas and fuel. He addressed a press conference at Huzurabad going for polls on Oct 30.
The Minister accused the BJP leader Etela Rajender and the MP Bandi Sanjay of resorting to false allegations. The recent accident in Huzurabad segment was not caused by the TRS leaders as being charged by the BJP leader, Harish Rao said.
He stated that the TRS leader Balka Suman clarified on the accident caused by the BJP leaders and not the TRS leaders.
Unnecessarily the BJP leaders Etela Rajender, Bandi Sanjay were talking against the TRS leadership, he said. The prices are to be controlled by the Centre as the fuel charges go under GST purview, he said.
He expressed displeasure at the charges made by the BJP leaders on the recent accident. It was a relative of Bandi Sanjay who caused the accident and not the TRS leaders, he claimed.
The price hike of gas and fuel charges are a burden to the people he expressed concern. The Centre has to take steps to ease of the burden on the people and not by the state alone, he said.
The minister reiterated that he will resign to the post if Rajender proves that the state government levies more taxes on the fuel. There is no truth in the charges which are aimed to get political mileage, he fumed.
The BJP leaders should stop mud-slinging and refrain from falsehood, the FM advised. I will step as the minister if the BJP leaders really can prove that the fuel charges are levied by the state, he added. (Hydnow)
