Hyderabad, Dec.25 (Hydnow): The city police today arrested habitual offender Mantri Sankar, who has 250 criminal cases pending against him in three Police Commissionerate Limits. The task force wing of North Zone of the city police also arrested three accomplices of Sankar along with him.
Speaking to media person the city police commissioner Anjani Kumar said that Sankar was an accused in 6 Cases in the city limits. He said that Sankar along with his accomplices had Abdul Lateef Khan, mohammad Majid and Mohammad Imtiyaz Ahmed had committed thefts in houses. He said that they had recovered Rs.12.9 lakh cash, 100 grams of gold ornaments and two bikes. He said that Sankar had been committing thefts since the year 1979. He also said that they had invoked PD Act against Sankar for four times so far.
Kumar said that Sankar was released from jail on December 4 of this month and committed six thefts along with his gang members until December 24 of this month. He said that the thefts were committed in Begumpet, vansthalipuram, Kushaiguda police station limits. He said that the gang members would race during day time and commit thefts between 1 am to 4 am during night. (Hydnow)
