Delhi/Hyderabad, May 12 (Hydnow): State BJP President Bandi Sanjay has given the green signal for laying the new Railway line between Karimnagar to Hanumakonda district for which the Railways has sanctioned Rs/ 1.54 crore for the survey of the final location of the 61.80 km railway line.
if the land acquisition, track, and station construction works are completed quickly, the train will be laid from Karimnagar to Hanumakonda district in a few years.
It may be recalled that the BJP State president and Karimnagar MP along with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishanav in Delhi submitted a petition to build this line. With this, the Railway minister ordered the officials of the South Central Railway to conduct a resurvey and prepare a report on the construction of the new railway line on a war footing. The pending project seems to have been saved as the funds have been sanctioned recently.
Although a survey was done in 2013 regarding the construction of the Karimnagar-Hasanparthi railway line, the work did not progress after that. There is a mention of the construction of this line in the State Redistricting Act. This line, which is about 62 kilometers long, will be very convenient for the people of the combined Karimnagar and Warangal districts. The transportation of granite, rice, maize, and other crops in the Karimnagar district will be easy. At present, to go to Mumbai from Kazipet Junction, one has to go via Secunderabad via Nizamabad.
If this line is completed. you can go to Mumbai via Karimnagar, Karimnagar – Nizamabad railway line has already been completed, Kothapalli-Manoharabad track work has speedup. If the recently approved Karimnagar-Hasanparthi line is also completed, the rail services will be more accessible to the residents of Karimnagar. (Hydnow)
