Hyderabad, September 29: The awareness campaign by GHMC on Check Your Vote received a great response.
On the occasion of the Milad Un Nabi festival, the Check Your Vote awareness program on voter registration was carried out in earnest. Especially at the mosques, there was a great response to setting up posters and leaflets stands on Check Your Vote and creating awareness. Special Program on Check Your Vote With the main objective that not a single eligible person of 18 years of age should miss, awareness programs have been undertaken on a large scale in honor of Ganesh Shobhayatra, Nimajjanam Ponds, Milad Un Nabi festival.
GHMC has given special attention to voter registration in Hyderabad district in the context of the Election Commission’s plan to increase voter turnout. In this background, voter registration of all the eligible people was done and awareness was created so that all of them could vote. NSS volunteers wearing t-shirts with the slogan ‘I vote for sure’ on one side are campaigning on voter registration.
Along with voter registration, volunteers are creating awareness on how to participate in voting. Along with NSS volunteers, Nehru Yuva Kendra volunteers also actively participated. Those whose names have not in the voter list till now, and those who will attain the age of 18 years by October 1 should register through Form-6, deletion of name from the voter list, objections
Commissioner, Hyderabad District Election Officer, Ronald Rose stated that the large-scale awareness programs conducted by the volunteers during special Milad Un Nabi celebrations and Ganesh immersion as part of the sweep program for the people have received a special response.
