Hyderabad, July 26 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today announced to start Dalit Bandhu program to empower the SCs in Telangana state. It will be implemented like a movement and to become a role model for the country, he announced.
The Chief Minister addressed an awareness program for Dalit delegates and people who came from Huzurabad to his Pragathi Bhavan office in Hyderabad. He stated that the state government is committed to provide financial support to the Dalit youth and people to become industrialists and businessmen.
The Chief Minister appealed to them to work together for the success of this program and achieve this goal and help empower Dalits in the state. He spoke about aims, implementation and action plan for Dalit Bandhu scheme.
We have a plan and are forming the guidelines to implement the same to be expanded in the state. As a pilot project Dalit Bandhu will be implemented in Huzurabad segment and will be expanded to entire state, the Chief Minister said.
K Chandrasekhar Rao directed the officials to conduct a special drive in 10 days to address land issues in Huzurabad segment. The government will offer financial assistance to the young and educated Dalit people to do business he said. The meeting by the Chief Minister gets significance as this segment is set to bypolls likely in September.
The Chief Minister instructed the collector to conduct a special drive to address the issues of the lands in this segment. The government will offer financial support to the Dalits to get housing facilities in the state.
