Hyderabad, Aug.26 (Hydnow): State government today released Rs 500 crore more towards Dalit Bandhu implementation at Huzurabad segment on a pilot project. The Scheduled Castes Corporation chairman released Rs 500 crore to collector of Karim Nagar district for Dalit Bandhu program.

With Rs 500 crore released on Thursday, the state government has released a total of Rs 2000 cr for the scheme.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced to release a total of Rs 2000 crore for the scheme for Dalit empowerment. For this the officials have made all arrangements to implement the scheme.

It is learnt that the chief minister may visit Karim Nagar on Friday.

The Government has kept the promise of releasing total funds as promised by the chief minister. This chief minister said that the scheme will be extended to all districts in future in a phased manner.

The funds released date wise are following — Rs 500 crore each on August 9 & 23, Rs 200 crore on August 24, Rs 300 crore on August 25 and Rs 500 crore more respectively on August 26. Now the government is to announce guidelines for the speedy implementation of the dalit bandhu scheme.

The state government aims to develop Dalits by offering Rs 10 lakh each to do business of their capacity and choice. The chief minister reiterated to empower Dalits by spending about Rs 1 lakh cr and more.

For this the government released Rs 2000 cr for Huzurabad segment .The segment is going to see by-poll which was caused by ouster of Etala Rajender from the cabinet of KCR.

The Chief Minister has directed Secretary Somesh Kumar to monitor closely the Dalit Bandhu scheme through the collector.

KCR directed the officials concerned to implement the scheme on a war-footing. According to a release from CMO the officials are preparing necessary guidelines for the Dalit Bandhu scheme. (Hydnow)
