Hyderabad, July 18 (Hydnow): Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has said she has been conducting the Mahila Darbar program aimed at addressing the grievances of women.
The Governor held the Mahila Darbar at Raj Bhavan here on Monday and received various complaints from women.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan said the purpose of holding Mahila Darbar is to understand the problems of women and to resolve their grievances as early as possible with the help of State administration.
She said women were approaching the Raj Bhavan for seeking to resolve their problems and it was her duty to listen to their grievances.
National Women Commission Chairperson Rekha Sharma was also present in the Mahila Darbar. On the occasion, Rekha Sharma appealed to those women, who are seeking justice, to approach the police station in their respective areas and lodge a complaint fearlessly.
“If women are denied justice by the police, then they should approach the State Women Commission where justice will be delivered without failure,” Rekha Sharma said. (Hydnow)
