Hyderabad, Sept.28 (Hydnow): Telangana minister V Srinivas Goud today paid rich tributes to a yesteryear Bollywood superstar hindi hero Paidi Jayaraj, a Hindi film hero from Karimnagar district of Telangana.
The state government conducted a program at Ravindra Bharathi auditorium in the city here to commemorate the services rendered by him to the Hindi film industry. The event was conducted to mark 111 birth anniversary of Jayaraj was a Dadasaheb Phalke awardee and who is the first Telangana actor to get name in the Hindi film field the ministers stated.
On the occasion, the ministers recalled that in combined state the Andhra rulers ignored Telangana artists, writers, literary and poets. However the TRS Government gives due importance and pay tributes to such personalities who served various fields., they claimed.
Jayaraj had served the hindi field and the successive governments in Andhra Pradesh before bifurcation never bothered to recognize him, they felt.
As per directions from Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao , Telangana language and culture department is conducting birth and death anniversaries of such personalities, they said. The previous congress government ignored the great actor of Telangana, the unsung hero they said. (Hydnow)
