As the sun blazes mercilessly, causing discomfort among the people with its relentless heat from as early as 8 AM, making them hesitant to venture outside, and with rising temperatures adding to their woes daily, the Meteorological Department brings a refreshing piece of news for the residents of Telangana.
It has announced the likelihood of rains in various parts of the state over the next three days. Districts like Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, and Nizamabad are expected to experience thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds starting tomorrow.
This alert also extends to Jagtial, Karimnagar, and Peddapalli districts, where rains are anticipated the day after tomorrow.
Despite the forecast of rains for three days across the state, Hyderabad residents might face disappointment as there seems to be no chance of rain in the city.
The Hyderabad Meteorological Department also issued warnings of dust storms in the state within the next two days and predicted a rise in temperatures by two to three degrees.
The highest temperature recorded in the state recently was 43 degrees Celsius.
The department advises people to avoid going out between 11 AM and 4:30 PM, especially as dust storms are expected in several districts today. The highest temperature recorded yesterday was in Ibrahimpatnam, Nalgonda district, at 43.5 degrees Celsius.
The increasing temperatures have led to a rise in cases of acute diarrheal diseases (ADD) and dehydration, as noted by medical professionals.
They recommend giving coconut water and Oral Rehydration Solutions (ORS) to children suffering from vomiting and diarrhea and advise keeping them in the shade.
