Hyderabad, Aug.9 (Hydnow): As part of the ‘Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsavalu’ celebrations to mark 75 years of Independence, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) started the distribution of national flags on Tuesday.
Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav launched the program of distributing the national flags in Secunderabad. The Minister handed over the national flags to the local residents and explained the importance of the celebrations. He was accompanied by GHMC Commissioner DS Lokesh Kumar and Secunderabad Zonal Commissioner Srinivas Reddy.
Meanwhile, the flags were also distributed in different parts of the city in the presence of elected representatives. Officials said the corporation had planned to distribute around 20 lakh flags during the celebrations. (Hydnow)
