Hyderabad, July 11 (Maxim News): GHMC commissioner Dana Kishore today launched 275 free medical camps in the city for prevention of infectious diseases in Greater Hyderabad region in association with district medical and health officers, district malaria officers, GHMC medical officers, and Hematology department officers.
Dana Kishore said this year they will have 500 camps, as against 287 last year, and in the first phase 275 medical camps were bring started today– 122 in Hyderabad, 54 in Rangareddi, and 99 in Medchal districts. He also said the camps will mainly setup in colonies, slums where health related the cases were registered in large number in previous year.
When a positive case of infectious disease records, then those areas will be taken under the control of health officers, to stop spread of diseases, mosquitoes. GHMC will form special committee with ALO team, district malaria officers, health supervisors and health officers in restriction of spreading mosquitos.
The commissioner said there will be preventive kits of malaria, dengue, and swine flu, in all health centers and community halls in the city. There will be awareness programs across 6,000 schools, colonies, and public places. He suggested to the people not to store unused water in homes, schools, and offices. (Hydnow)
