Hyderabad, September 12 (Hydnow): City Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi said that the state government is implementing Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes to reduce the financial burden on parents during the marriage of girls from poor families. He distributed the cheques to the beneficiaries sanctioned under the Shadi Mubarak scheme at his camp office in Banjara Hills ward on Tuesday.
Speaking on this occasion, the Mayor said that the government’s aim is to provide minimum living security to all the people and the state government is making special efforts for the economic and social development of the poor. He said that financial assistance will be provided through Kalyan Lakshmi for the marriage of girls belonging to poor families of SC, ST, and BC categories in the state. Similarly, the mayor said that one lakh 16 rupees will be given by Shadi Mubarak for the welfare of the poor of the Muslim minority. He said that the welfare schemes implemented in the state are not being implemented in any state in the country. On this occasion, one lakh and 16 rupees were distributed to 60 families belonging to Banjara Hills ward, totaling 60 lakh rupees. (Hydnow)
