Four more native migrants test positive in Mancherial

Four more native migrants workers, who returned from Mumbai to district, tested positive for Covid-19 in Mancherial. They were shifted to Hyderabad. With 17 other native migrants testing positive for the virus, the total number of native migrant positive cases in the district has gone up to 21.

District Covid-19 nodal officer Balaji said the native migrants hailing from Dandepalli and Luxettipet mandals were found to have been contracted the disease as per their medical reports. They were kept in an isolation centre in Bellampalli after returning from Mumbai a few days back. Reports of four more Covd-19 suspects are awaited, he added.

All the native migrants who have test positive for Covid-19 are from Luxettipet, Jannaram, Dandepalli and Hajipur mandals except for one patient who is a resident of Bellampalli. The police have launched a special drive to identify workers recently.

Meanwhile, two migrant workers, who returned from Mumabi, were infected with the acute respiratory disease in Khanapur mandal of Nirmal district. They were rushed to Gandhi Hospital. The two besides three more returned to their native place from Mumbai a few days ago.
