Hyderabad, Oct.27 (Hydnow): Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar instructed the revenue officials to extend hassle free registration and mutation services through Dharani portal to the citizens as envisioned by the Chief Minister Sri K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Addressing a training program to the officials and staff of the revenue department on Dharani Portal today, he said that the Chief Minister will launch the Dharani Portal on October 29 .

He appealed to the revenue staff to live up to the expectations of the Chief Minister for the successful implementation of the Dharani Portal by providing services in a simple, transparent, discretion less and in a speedy manner. He said that under the Dharani Portal registration and mutation will be completed immediately. Dharani would become a trendsetter in the country.

Chief Secretary gave a power point presentation on the functioning of the Dharani portal and explained about slot booking, citizen open portal, successor modules and partition modules. The roles and responsibilities of Tehsildars and data entry operators was also explained in detail.

Chief Secretary observed that the role of the revenue department would increase manifold as they would henceforth function as joint sub registrars. He urged the revenue employees to work as a team and bring good name to the government. The government is committed to resolve the issues pertaining to the Revenue department He said that a state level control room will be set up to address the technical issues. Similarly, a district level technical support team would resolve issues arising at the district level. Necessary infrastructure should be in place at all the offices for the purpose, he added.

Sunil Sharma Principal Secretary R&B, Rahul Bojja Secretary Disaster Management, V Venkateswarlu Collector Medchal Malkajgiri and other officials attended the meeting. (Hydnow)
