Hyderabad: An elderly woman was mowed down to death by a motorcycle at Katedan in Mailardevpally here in the wee hours of Saturday. The victim was waiting for a cab to return home from a wedding when the mishap occurred.
The victim, Syeda Parveen (60), had gone to attend a function at Queen’s Palace function hall on Katedan road in Aramgarh on Friday night. After the wedding, Parveen came out and was waiting for a cab.
Police said it was then that an unidentified motorcycle which was driven in a negligent manner hit her. Parveen fell on the road and suffered grievous bleeding injuries. She was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where the doctors declared her brought dead.
