Drones To Be Used in Mancherial To Enforce Lockdown

Mancherial police used drones cameras for implementing lockdown norms on the 13th day of the lockdown on Monday. DCP Uday Kumar and ACP Akhil Mahajan visited check posts and ensured that the norms were strictly enforced.

Uday Kumar and Akhil Mahajan visited different parts of the district centre and several mandal centres to monitor the lockdown. They cross-checked documents of motorists who were on the roads after 10 am. They then inspected the application of drone cameras by Mancherial town police for patrolling the movement of civilians on roads.

According to information provided by Ramagundam Police Commissionerate, 284 vehicles were seized for violating lockdown norms on Monday and 530 vehicles were seized in the district on Sunday. A total of 2,734 vehicles were seized from violators so far.

Meanwhile, Adilabad in-charge Superintendent of Police M Rajesh Chandra inspected the enforcement of the norms of the lockdown by visiting various spots. He said that a special drive was carried out for checking violations of the norms and cracking whip against violators. He stated that 182 vehicles were seized for moving on roads without a valid reason.
