Hyderabad, June 23 (Hydnow): Health Minister Etela Rajender exhorted diagnostic centers in Telangana to treat positive cases on humanitarian grounds and avoid business angle and collecting hefty amounts.
He asked them not to see Corona cases in business angle and offer services as per guidelines and fees fixed by the government.
He held a meeting with the delegates of the diagnostic centers which got permission for Corona tests from the government.
On the occasion, the minister said that the GHMC area and nearby districts are seeing rise in Corona cases. There is difference between general tests and the Corona cases he said. The Covid tests have to be seen as surveillance, tracing and testing the minister clarified.
Rajender asked them to upload the details of positive cases in health portal and update with the government. The diagnostic centers and private labs are supposed to follow government guidelines to conduct Corona tests he said. Else the government will not hesitate to initiate action against any violations, he warned. The diagnostic centers have to ensure that they patients remain in isolation until the results come.
The minister instructed them against home level treatments or otherwise marketing. Corona tests can be conducted to air travelers and report despite no symptoms of corona virus he said. He advised them to give PPE kits to corona testing technicians to avoid virus spread. (Hydnow)
