Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has said decision on resuming shootings for movies apart from the re-opening of theatres.
Speaking to a delegation of Telugu film personalities at the residence of actor Chiranjeevi here on Thursday, the Minister said the State government was also positive about supporting the families of cinema workers. The decision on lifting restrictions, so that the Telugu film industry could resume functioning after the lockdown, would be taken once the situation was reviewed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, he said.
The Minister, who discussed the existing scenario with Chiranjeevi, producer D Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind, C. Kalyan, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Dil Raju, Gemini Kiran, Shyam Prasad Reddy, SS Rajamouli, VV Vinayak, Trivikram Srinivas, N Shankar, Koratala Siva, N Shankar and Ram Mohan Rao, also took stock of the lockdown impact on cinema workers, including 14,000-odd daily wage workers, and the opening of theatres post May 31.

The industry delegation also told the Minister that a demonstration video on how indoor and outdoor shootings could resume, highlighting precautionary measures to be taken by the film cast and crew, including physical distancing, using sanitizers and face masks, would soon be submitted to the State government.
